Real life: a foster carer's experience

It’s not often that fostering and children in care, with all the privacy constraints that appropriately go with it, can be so open. If you are thinking of fostering, or are a carer, Australian Story provides a very detailed and personal view of children in care from the perspective of all parties.

Caroline Jones interviews Yael Abraham (23-03-09):

'....a single lawyer turned real estate agent with no children of her own, yet in her mid-40s she suddenly became a foster mother and is caring now for six children from the same family. There have been considerable rewards and benefits, but as you'll see tonight, it hasn't always been an easy path.'
